CORRESPONDENCES
PROJECT
[A think tank
application
of the Human Organic Group]
The objective of this project is to create a platform that Human Organic Group members can use for sharing and archiving data and concepts that may contribute toward the ongoing creation of an Encyclopedia of Correspondences. Correspondence in this project relates to mutual harmony between an idea with its symbolic meaning. The idea that identifies a given correspondence is symbolized by a word or phrase, and will be called its topic. Topics will be ordered alphabetically. A topic by itself has little more meaning than a word or phrase that represents it. When it is used in a context, however, the context provides and/or qualifies its sense, or meaning. The term used in this project for a context that implies a meaning of a topic is "sense". And so a topic may be used in various contexts and thus have various senses. A sense can be anything such as a definition of a word in a dictionary, or its usage in a myth, science report, poem, parable of divine revelation, etc. The task before us is to find the higher layers of meaning within the topic and any of its various senses. In this program, senses will be ordered chronologically in the order they are entered into the project by registered members. When a meaningful pattern emerges among the senses of a topic, a task force of members might want to edit the senses and present a publishable summary for the Encyclopedia of Correspondences. How to read the draft encyclopedia 1) Click Open Draft Encyclopedia button below. This program starts with a list of topics. 2) Clicking a topic opens a list of senses in which that topic may be used. 3) Clicking the word Sense opens a series of notes relating to that meaning of the topic. The first comment may be by the Key Member who authored that sense entry, and why he did so. The subsequent comments constitute a discussion of the meaning by various key members. How key members can make an entry into the draft encyclopedia 1) Click Edit Draft Encyclopedia button below. 2) Click the New Topic button. Assign a word or short phrase to stand for the topic. Proof read new topic before clicking Enter. You will not be able to edit or delete your entry. 3) To create a new context definition for an existing subject, click the Topic in the topic list, and then click the New Sense button. The context is the usage environment of the subject, the symbol, or the meaning. Here are some context examples: Good sense/bad sense; Nat./Sp./Cel./Supreme; a definition of the word to narrow the context; Strong's No.; a reference to where the term is used in literature; etc. Type in the new semse. Proof read before clicking Enter. You will not be able to edit or delete your entry. 4) To create a new comment, click New Note. Your note should relate to the sense on the open page. (An unrelated comment can be made on its appropriate page or by HO Group Mail.) Type your message and proof read it. Click Enter. You will not be able to edit or delete your entry.
